ASTM 1527 PHASE I and ASTM E1903 PHASE II ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENTS

Phase I Environmental Site Assessments consist of a site reconnaissance investigation, review of a current United States Geological Survey (USGS), topographic map and contact state and local agencies regarding environmental issues.

VIVA has performed Phase II Environmental Site Assessments on several properties in which recognized environmental conditions were identified as a result of a Phase I ESA. The purpose of a Phase II ESA is to determine the nature and extent of recognized environmental conditions identified during the Phase I process. The Phase II ESA process consists of developing a sampling and analysis plan, execution of the plan, determining the extent of contamination, and developing a course of remedial action.
